Auburn - Endurance Capital of the World

Auburn is home to some of the most challenging and historic endurance events on the planet. The vast network of dirt roads and trails, as well as the rivers and lakes in the Auburn State Recreation Area and surrounding Sierra Nevada make Auburn a destination for endurance athletes of all levels and interests. Many come to compete in endurance competitions that are well-established and internationally famous, notably the Tevis Cup 100-Mile Endurance Equestrian Ride (est. 1955) and the Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run (est. 1976).

This 100 mile virtual challenge event allows participants to complete up to 100 miles from September 8 to October 8 in any way they can, anywhere in the world. You can run, hike, bike, ride your horse, swim, or combine any endurance activity that can be measured in distance and apply the distance towards your ultimate goal!

While 100 miles is the ultimate goal, we understand that not everyone will be physically able to complete the full 100 miles, for that reason participants that achieve at least 50 miles will receive a 50 mile award, and runners that complete the full 100 mile distance will receive a larger finisher's medal. Participants will also have the option to upgrade their medal to a buckle for a small fee.

Auburn - Endurance Capital of the World

This virtual challenge begins on September 8 through October 8. You have 30 days to complete this challenge. You can do it all in one activity, or combine different activities. The challenge is over at 100 miles, but if you reach that distance, don't stop, keep going... You'll be able to continue to enter mileage until October 9, but make sure the activity time-frame is only between September 8 through October 9.

This challenge is open to everyone in the world, we'll ship items internationally and will not give you any less because you happen to live outside of the US. During the registration process you will have the option to select if you would like to pick up your items locally, or have them shipped.

If you select to have your items available for pick up, our swag pick up location will be at Auburn Aid Station - Trails & Ales and begin on October 10.  Make sure you visit their website for exact hours of operations. If you select to have your items shipped, then your items will be packed and shipped on Monday October 12.

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL CHALLENGE?

ANYTIME YOU WANT

You can choose whatever time works best for you. You can do your activity in the morning, in the afternoon, in the middle of the night, between meetings, etc. Just track your mileage and input it on the results page.

RUN, BIKE, HIKE ANYWHERE...

Whether you want to complete this challenge by running, cycling, riding your horse or all of the above, a virtual challenge does not have an exact place, you can complete your activity anywhere you like. You can run in your living room, on a treadmill, on your driveway, on your neighbors driveway (6ft apart), on your local trails, or the roof of your home if you can so do safely. You pick the place and activity for this challenge. Just make sure it is an activity that can be measured in distance.

ANY PACE WORKS

You have 30 days to complete this challenge, you can run, walk, ride your horse, or a bike. You make the call of what activity is best for you and you can space it all out during the 30 days.
